TAUK kitchen + bar

Every town needs a go-to gathering spot — a local place for drinks and dinner after a movie or show; outdoor lunch on a beautiful afternoon; or Sunday brunch or dinner. In the heart of Armonk Square, TAUK kitchen + bar has filled the bill quite nicely for the past two years. However, owner Francis Leone didn’t want to rest on his laurels.

Recently, the Westchester restaurant took two weeks to re-invigorate the space with a revamped New American menu, updated décor and complete staff retraining. The result: a heightened level of customer service excellence, centering around an elevated menu of New American cuisine and a spirited new cocktail program.

“We knew we had a few all-star menu options, like our popular Tuna Poke Bowl, Cod Fish n Chips and our Montauk Lobster Roll with Hand-Cut Truffle Fries, so we kept those,” said Leone. “But, with the talented executive Chef Michael Torres behind the scenes, we wanted to up our game, so we tasked him will rolling out a new menu, and our customers tell us it’s a winner.”

The seasonal selections are ingredient-focused, relying on the best of what’s in season at local farms, fisheries and farmers’ markets. For the colder months, the menu spotlights an impressive selection of comfort fare, incorporating locally sourced meats from Fossil Farms, including the short rib and fresh rigatoni, short rib with purple heirloom mashed potatoes, massive ribeye steak, and special-blend steakhouse burger. For lighter options, best sellers include the aforementioned seafood choices, plus killer salads like the quinoa bowl and autumn salad with razor-thin shaved kale and Brussels sprouts.

At the bar, mixologist Anthony Ducharme crafts ingenious as well as nostalgic cocktails from a vast arsenal of premium pours. If you’re into wine, Tauk is known for its well-curated wine list, chosen to complement the chef’s creative dishes.

If you haven’t been to TAUK kitchen + bar in a while, or if you’ve always wanted to try it, now is a great time to experience a beloved local venue that has been recharged, redefined and refreshed for a New Year.
