Above: The newlyweds with their parents
Despite being in the same graduating class at Yale University, Kate and Rob didn’t meet until they came across each other’s online dating profiles. They arranged a date and within fifteen minutes, they knew there was something special between them. Two years later, on the anniversary of that first meeting, Rob proposed by the glow of a holiday tree. The wedding ceremony took place at Woodway Beach Club in Stamford, overlooking the water. The Reverend Anne F.C. Richards presided over the ceremony, and the bride’s nephews added to the joyous celebration by “flying” down the aisle in superhero capes. A reception followed, with dinner, dancing and s’mores under a harvest moon. The bride is the daughter of Lois and Richard Sandberg of New Canaan and is a senior vice president at the advertising agency Geometry Global. The groom is the son of Margaret and Daniel Siegel of Laguna Beach, California. He received his M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, where he is now an assistant professor of medicine in cardiology. The couple lives in Manhattan’s West Village and honeymooned in New Zealand.
